Max played with these "squirt guns" for about an hour and a half. I should find something similar for our house... |

Science Central
Fun times at Science Central in Fort Wayne! Max loved playing in the kid's area. Lots of water toys-I could not get him away. I am excited to take him to COSI in Toledo. If he liked Science Central then he will really like that place.

Tobogganing
About 45 minutes north of Fort Wayne, there is a state park called Pokagon. It is a great place to go for a day trip- cross country skiing, camping, hiking, swimming, and they even have pretty good buffets at the hotel. A couple weeks ago we decided to go up to the Toboggan Run with the Lockwoods and Napps. We had a blast! Max and Drake loved it almost as much as Clint and I ;) Clint even showed up four teenage boys while carrying the toboggan back up the hill. The four teenagers were trying to run up the hill with their one sled. Clint decided to have a bit of fun, and sprinted past them by himself with our toboggan. It was so funny! As soon as he passed them, all four boys just stopped running and almost sat down. What a show-off...lol. Here are some photos of our night together.
There was a warming center right by the tobbogan run, which was perfect for Leo. We took turns sitting with him throughout the evening. |
Max was so excited! |
The run was so fast! Our last time down, it was Max, me, Clint, and his dad. We went so fast we almost made it past the end a quite a ways into the grass. |
Max loves his hot chocolate...as you can see :) |
Leo boy loves his thumb. |

Yum Yum Mum Mum
Leo had a good time the other day trying out his first Mum Mum. He has tried graham crackers before, but this treat has quite a different texture. He seems to like them okay, but he doesn't chow them down or anything. I'm getting excited for him to try some finger foods within the next month! I love his facial expressions when he tries something new.
Love you Leo!!
Love you Leo!!
Bath Time
My boys love taking baths together now. It is a lot of fun to watch them play in the water! Max still likes to help take care of his little brother by trying to rinse him off or wash his back. I can tell they are going to be such good buddies.
I am so proud of Max and all of the help he has been since I've been back to work. He is always willing to do anything Clint or I need, especially when it comes to Leo. He has even started to help feed Leo when he is over at his Grandparents house. He is such an amazing little guy. I'm so surprised that he still doesn't even get upset when we ask him to share his toys with Leo. He would rather go and find animals or toys for Leo to play with then play with his own at times. There are definitely still challenges, but for the most part we are very, very lucky with our two boys!

Planet Rock
Clint and I had a date night up in Ann Arbor, MI a couple of weeks ago. My parents were able to watch the boys (thanks Mom and Dad!) and we were able to have a fun day together.
We had a great time going to an indoor rock climbing place. Clint has gone a couple of times and my friend Nikki and I had tried before at our University's rec center, however, this was completely different! First we had to take a belaying lesson. Clint had even done that before as well, so he was awesome at it. I, on the other hand, had a little bit of trouble with one of the steps...I got almost everything figured out, but for some reason I couldn't get the rope pulling/securing down. It was kind of embarrassing! It turned out fine- we were able to climb, and we both survived. I even made it to the top of a few walls. It was definitely hard, but fun. We might try it again sometime soon- maybe even in CO one day.
Clint got a couple of pictures of me at the end of climbing. I could barely make it up the first climb, lol. Therefore, I will not put them up, haha.
Our hotel was really nice as well. Tons of kids running around because of different events in the area, but luckily they didn't commandeer the pool or hot tub.

This was the view from our room. Very beautiful! Great time with the hubby :) Glad we were able to get away and spend some time together! |

My Next 30 Years
My actual birthday was spent at work. We had parent teacher conferences, so I was there until 7:30. However, Clint, the boys and I were able to celebrate a couple of days before hand. Clint and my parents bought me a gorgeous Pandora bracelet. What a nice piece of jewelry to remember this birthday! It is absolutely beautiful. Clint picked out M&L letter charms for Max and Leo, as well as a heart charm. I'm planning on picking out an amethyst birthstone charm as well sometime soon.
On the Saturday after my birthday many of my friends came to the Fort for fun night out. Clint watched the boys and cleaned the house all morning while I went out to get my hair cut and highlighted. It was so nice of him! Mandie met me at my salon and we were able to catch up for a couple of hours. She actually flew in around 6:00 AM for my birthday and then brought me coffee, lol! I love my sissa!! I am so blessed to have such great friends. Everyone got to our house around 7:00 and then we went out to eat at a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse. It was delicious and a fun place to catch up with everyone. After dinner we went next door to a martini bar called Club Soda. More of my friends from work met us there, as well as Jill and Tyler. We all had a great time and I will always remember how loved I felt that night :) Thanks everyone!!
Here are some photos from the evening.
Two of my bestest friends, Amanda and Mandie. Going on twenty years of friendship. I am so lucky to have met them both. |
Toddlinger is another long time friend- definitely one of the best. He is such a great guy. |
Amanda's other half. I have a similar picture of us at my 21st birthday, ha! |
My unbelievable friend Tricia and her husband piled us all into their swagger wagon. She also made us breakfast the next morning. Love her and G!! |
Mer and I posing. lol I look super cool, so I had to keep this photo in here. I'm really glad the two of us got to share our 30th birthdays. |
The evil eye?? |
Yay for 30! |
My work family minus my friends Megan, Mo, and Lauren that met us at Club Soda. Pictures kind of stopped after we left here... |
The newly engaged Rachel and Blake. Ray is my oldest friend besides my cousin Sarah and my sister, of course. I am sooo happy I got to see her and meet her finance. |
My friend Theresa and I had a lot of fun dancing later at Duty's. Fun times! |
Jill has been my best friend forever. My birthday wouldn't have been official without her. Manda too, of course!! |
What a fun and memorable birthday!!
