Max and Drake weren't sure what to do at first. They were torn between seeing what was in the egg, and running to look for more. Once they realized how fast the other kids were going, they started sprinting around as fast as they could to get their eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt with Christ Community Church
The day before Easter, Christ Community Church in Churubusco had a gigantic Easter Egg hunt- over 15,000 eggs! It was set up like a festival, bounce houses, food, face painting- the boys had a blast. Drake was in town for Easter and Max's birthday, so he was able to come with us. They had the eggs spread out in different sections of the park by age range. Leo got to go first. He was so cute! He would walk, pick up an egg and look it over. Then he would place it in his bucket and get another one. He wasn't rushed at all.
Coloring Eggs
Saturday morning the boys woke up and I made a cute pinterest bunny pancake fine for breakfast. They were so cute! Afterwards we went out in the backyard and colored eggs. It was a beautiful day and the boys enjoyed themselves. Leo is still pretty little, so he made more of a mess than anything, but he had lots of fun.

Party at Nana and Papa's!
We celebrated Max's 4th birthday a little early with my parents, brothers, and grandma. While Clint was on his annual trip to Vegas, the boys and I drove to Sylvania to visit. We had a delicious "birthday feast" as Max calls it, and a tasty cake. The boys had lots of fun playing with Nana and Papa and their uncles all weekend. We even went to this really cool outdoor gear store called Bass Pro. It was awesome! Lots of stuff to look at. We all had a great afternoon there.

Dad is a sharp shooter! This was a lot of fun. I think Max could have stayed there all day. |

Overmans in the Fort
I was so happy Emily, Jeff, Johanna, and J.J. got to come to Fort Wayne for a few days. It was great seeing all of them each day. It is hard being so far apart most of the time, but we are lucky that we can have these mini-trips two or three times a year. The kids were in heaven the entire time. So much running around and laughing.
Our friend Lindsey and her husband Drew got to come up for a night as well. We went to Club Soda for dinner and Clint and Jeff stayed home with the sleeping kiddos (they got to go to BW's beforehand). Before we left for dinner we gave the kiddos a bath.
The next day Max and I made some realllly good oatmeal cream pies for the birthday treats. They were very delicious!!
Since Jeff had to drive home early Saturday morning, my dad and Grandma drove in Sunday for the day before piling up the rest of the Overmans and heading back to Sylvania. Max and I made some amazing oatmeal cream pies for J.J. and Max's early birthday celebration. It was a great idea to have a mini birthday party for the two of them since we usually cannot be together on their actual birthdays.
Happy early birthdays J.J. and Max!! I'm so glad we got to celebrate together.
