Welcome to the World, Johnathan Jefferey!!

My nephew Johnathan Jefferey Overman was born on March 29th, 2012 at 3:16AM on Thursday morning. He weighed 8lbs 9.8oz and was 20 inches long. He is absolutely perfect! I got a text from my sister around ten on the 28th, so it was hard to sleep that night, waiting to hear the news. I got another text around 2:00 that they were heading to the hospital and then around 5:15 in the morning (our time) he was born! It was so exciting and we were all very glad that Emily was able to go into labor on her own. Also, it is amazing that JJ was born the day before my mom's birthday :) Now she has a grandson's birthday on either side of her own. We love you so much Johnathan and we can't wait to meet you!!

Here are some more photos of JJ from my sister.

Just Swingin'

We had a fun weekend visiting my parents. The boys love being there-always a lot to do! It was great going to Wildwood (best park ever) and taking a walk. We were also able to have dinner with my grandma while we were there.

Leo's first time feeling grass. It didn't bother him at all. He loved crawling around in it!

We were also able to celebrate my cousin Jeremy's son Preston's first birthday. He is so adorable!! Erin and Jeremy had lots of cute decorations, a pinata, and pin the nose on Elmo. The kids had a great time.

He is so adorable!!!

Maxadoodle loves parties!

Preston and Carter :) Happy Birthday Preston!!

The Wizard of Oz

Max got to go see his first play, The Wizard of Oz. He absolutely loved it, and Clint and I really enjoyed spending the evening with him-just the three of us. It was so much fun watching his face light up with all of the different characters, scene changes, and of course the songs.

Max was like this for the entire two and a half hours. He kept asking, "What's going to happen next?" He even left for the intermission, ate some cookies, and went right back for the rest of the play.

Chris's son, CJ was the cowardly lion in the play. He was fantastic!! So funny- he had me laughing quite a bit.  He had perfect timing and actually sounded like the real lion. There were also tons of little kids dancing and singing all over-Max didn't know where to look.

It was a lot of fun spending the evening with Max, but it was also great seeing Mandie, Chris, and my adoptive parents- Steve and Lib. Fun times!!

Science Central

Fun times at Science Central in Fort Wayne! Max loved playing in the kid's area. Lots of water toys-I could not get him away. I am excited to take him to COSI in Toledo. If he liked Science Central then he will really like that place.

Max played with these "squirt guns" for about an hour and a half. I should find something similar for our house...

Tobogganing

About 45 minutes north of Fort Wayne, there is a state park called Pokagon. It is a great place to go for a day trip- cross country skiing, camping, hiking, swimming, and they even have pretty good buffets at the hotel. A couple weeks ago we decided to go up to the Toboggan Run  with the  Lockwoods and Napps. We had a blast! Max and Drake loved it almost as much as Clint and I ;) Clint even showed up four teenage boys while carrying the toboggan back up the hill. The four teenagers were trying to run up the hill with their one sled. Clint decided to have a bit of fun, and sprinted past them by himself with our toboggan. It was so funny! As soon as he passed them, all four boys just stopped running and almost sat down. What a show-off...lol. Here are some photos of our night together.

There was a warming center right by the tobbogan run, which was perfect for Leo. We took turns sitting with him throughout the evening.

Max was so excited!

The run was so fast! Our last time down, it was Max, me, Clint, and his dad. We went so fast we almost made it past the end a quite a ways into the grass.

Max loves his hot chocolate...as you can see :)

Leo boy loves his thumb.
