Overmans in the Fort

I was so happy Emily, Jeff, Johanna, and J.J. got to come to Fort Wayne for a few days. It was great seeing all of them each day. It is hard being so far apart most of the time, but we are lucky that we can have these mini-trips two or three times a year. The kids were in heaven the entire time. So much running around and laughing.

Our friend Lindsey and her husband Drew got to come up for a night as well. We went to Club Soda for dinner and Clint and Jeff stayed home with the sleeping kiddos (they got to go to BW's beforehand). Before we left for dinner we gave the kiddos a bath.

The next day Max and I made some realllly good oatmeal cream pies for the birthday treats. They were very delicious!!

The kids loved playing with Lindsey and Drew!!

Since Jeff had to drive home early Saturday morning, my dad and Grandma drove in Sunday for the day before piling up the rest of the Overmans and heading back to Sylvania. Max and I made some amazing oatmeal cream pies for J.J. and Max's early birthday celebration. It was a great idea to have a mini birthday party for the two of them since we usually cannot be together on their actual birthdays.

Birthday boys and their balloons.

Super baby!!

Happy early birthdays J.J. and Max!! I'm so glad we got to celebrate together.

Overman Family in Town

For the last two weeks my sister and here family were back in Toledo for a visit. It was wonderful spending time with all four of them. After a long two day drive from Denver, they arrived late at night on Saturday the 23. Clint, the boys, and I drove to my parents' house that Sunday to spend the day with everyone. The cousins had lots of fun chasing each other around the house and playing with Nana and Papa's toys.

My mom told Max to go look at Johanna's room. She had put a princess comforter on it and some girl animals. Max said, "Where did my bed go?" lol. He was worried that the room he stays in when visiting Nana and Papa had disappeared.

Aunt Emily, Oma, and J.J.

Joahnna was pretty quiet the first day. From traveling, to lots of people, she wasn't her usual social self.

Cousin Cuties

Lots of playing!

J.J. loved everyone. He was snuggling and almost falling asleep with everyone that held him- even Uncle Dave! Maybe it will rub-off on Leo ;)

Valentine Love

Last weekend Max and I had fun crafting and baking. This is a pretty common theme around here lately! Saturday afternoon was spent baking heart shaped sugar cookies. The dough was very easy to make, especially since I had a great helper by my side. After letting the dough chill for 25 minutes, we rolled it out and used our heart shaped cookie cutter to make dozens of fluffy sugar cookies.

Leo wanted to help!

I think Max's favorite part was frosting the cookies. However, after the first two cookies or so, he was a mess! He decided that he would rather just put the sprinkles on top. He is learning so much. Cracking eggs- no problem, pouring in all of the ingredients-easy. He even put just the right amount of sprinkles on each cookie. Maybe he will be my own little Top Chef Master and fulfill Papa's dream to open up a family restaurant. ;)

On Sunday we decided to make some valentines. He has actually been doing this a couple weekends in a row, but today I had him cut out all of the hearts by himself. He told me that he practices with scissors at school all the time. He was great with them! It kind of surprised me. Leo tried getting in on the action as well. Here are some photos of their Valentine creations from the past couple weekends.

Here are a few pictures of Max and Leo writing their names on valentines from Nana. Max really enjoyed doing this, and it was great practice writing his name (about 30 times).

Leo tried writing his name too. :)

Putting the valentines into the box.

They really enjoyed themselves. They also enjoyed all of their delicious Valentine's Day treats :) Thanks again Nana and Papa for the goodies. We love you!!

31

Happy Birthday to me :) I survived another year! Clint and Max surprised me last week with this DELICIOUS chocolate cake, yum-yum! It was Clint's first attempt at baking any sort of dessert since I've known him. It turned out great. It was adorable coming home from a long day at work to see my boys excited to sing Happy Birthday and show me my beautiful cake. Thanks, guys!

They even designed a flower on top. Max kept asking me what kind of decorations I wanted on my cake, hehe.

Saturday the 2nd was my 31st birthday. My parents came in to town Friday night, and we had a wonderful couple of days with them. We went to 800 degrees pizza Friday night (yum) and then Bandido's on Saturday. Both places were delicious, and Bandido's was great because you get a free meal on your birthday!
Organizing Utility Tote
My parents got me a gorgeous new 31 bag, wallet, and a cool water bottle. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

On Saturday, my mom, Leo and I got to go shopping for a little bit while my dad and Max went to see Wreck it Ralph. I found a neat mirror for our room, and some pretty place-mats for our new table. After that we all went out to eat.

Max and Leo already love playing video games.

I finally got a pony!!

Return of the dancing Sylvania Snappers!

Fun times :) It was a great weekend & I'm very glad I got to spend it with my family.
