New Year's Eve

Clint, Max, Leo and I had a great night visiting friends up in Dearborn, MI. We usually spend New Years with the same group. Last year was the first time in several years that we didn't do anything, so we made sure that we were with our friends to ring in this New Year.  Todd is such an awesome guy and we are lucky to have him as one of our best friends! He let the four of us stay in his room and he had lots of food and of course fun for us and the kids. Here are some pictures of our night.

The boys hung out upstairs for awhile, watching a movie and having snacks. They all stayed up until midnight! Max's second New Year's celebration :)

Max loved hanging out with Daddy and his friends.

This reminds me of Max at Emily and Jeff's wedding two years ago..except he is 4X as big!

The boys love Uncle Tyler!

Leo went to bed a little bit later than normal, so the next morning he was still pretty sleepy. He stayed like this for at least an hour.
Happy New Year everyone! We had a fabulous 2011 and I hope 2012 is truly special and fun for all.

Christmas Round 4: GiGi Ma

We love Christmas time around here, so to make sure we had enough celebrations throughout the month we  spent yesterday concluding this year's Christmas with the Lockwoods and GiGi Ma. Wow! Our living room has never been so insanely full of gifts, lol. Luckily, they were for 8 people rather than just the two little boys we all know have way too much stuff as it is...lol. Great times with our family.

The boys were able to play together all over the house (there are now toys in every room and every level). We are trying to potty train Max now with no pullups at all--he is not having it. He does pretty well in the morning when it is just us, but throw in a cousin and lots of activities and he was peeing all over the place, except the toilet. That helped make for an interesting holiday. Despite that, we did have a wonderful day; good food, lots of awesome gifts, and quality time with one another. Thank you so much Mom/GigiMa  and Kelli and Brandon for all of the nice things. We all really appreciate it! Here are some photos of our day together.

Brandon was the official "Santa", while Max and Drake helped deliver the presents.

Gorilla bank-- it makes noise whenever you put money into it. Fun for us! hehe

Interactive food  for Max's new kitchen!

Haha I like this picture because I look kind of crazy. The boys were jumping all over me on the couch- Max had just gotten up.

Daddy reading Max and Leo one of their new books.

Leo's new wardrobe!

Opening a present with GiGi Ma.

Clint, Carol, and I each took turns letting Leo try and open his mountain of gifts. He loved crinkling the paper in his fingers.

He loves his panda!

And he loves his Aunt Kelli!

Super cute new kicks.

I'm going to walk soon!

I love his eyes- they look like mine ;)

Well, that is the end of Christmas this season. We had such a nice month of visiting with friends and family. I actually have one more friend Christmas on Monday, but I probably won't post pictures, so according to the blog records, Merry Christmas 2011! Thanks again to Clint's parents, my parents, my Grandma, and the boys' Aunts and Uncles for all of the amazing gifts. We are very lucky to have all of you. Now we are looking forward to what the New Year will bring.

Christmas

Merry Christmas!! We had a wonderful holiday. Happy to wake up at home and watch Max get so excited. He came into our room around 3:30 and wanted to sleep with us. At 8:00 he woke up and wanted to go downstairs immediately.  This was the most fun I've had on Christmas morning since I was little. I forgot how magical it can be and how ecstatic little kids get. Max was really cute and almost ran down the stairs to see what Santa left. Here are some photos of our day. I hope you had as nice of a day as our family did.

Our Kuerig! Love it!!

We hid Max's kitchen in the guest room and told him that we heard Santa hiding something for him upstairs. He ran up there and started to look.

Not in my room.

Not in Leo's room. He checked every room before finally going to the guest room!

Daddy showing Max how the stove works.

Karan and Ken were able to come over for breakfast. We made our traditional eggs, waffles, and ham. Lovely morning!

I love these photos of Leo and Naps.
