6 months!!

How can 6 months have already passed? It is unbelievable that my little Leo boy is already a half year old. We love you so much!! Here are some stats from his 6 months appointment:

  • 18 lb. 14 oz. 75%
  • 27 1/2 inches long 90%
  • 17 1/2 head size 75%

As you can see in the pictures, Leo is extremely drooly lately. He constantly soaks his clothes, my clothes, dad's clothes, and anyone else that he comes in contact with. He is still as smiley as ever and laughs at all sorts of silly things.

Leo is very ticklish and will start to giggle as soon as you touch his stomach, neck, legs, pretty much any part of his body, lol. He is also really cuddly still, but likes to squirm more and more. He is very close to sitting up on his own--he can sit up for a few seconds, but always tends to lean forward towards his toes. Toes are one of his favorite things to chew! Leo loves to bring his feet up to his mouth and chomp away.

He got his first tooth on November 15th, shortly followed by his second tooth. They are on the bottom right next to each other. He didn't fuss much at all, so I was surprised when Clint felt his bottom gums and told me that he had a tooth popping up. What a good boy!

This past Monday we let him try baby food again. He was much more interested this time! He has been eating fruit in the morning, a fruit and vegetable at lunch, and a vegetable and sometimes fruit in the evening. He has also started taking a bottle once a dat. We've noticed that he does not like formula at all, so in order to get him used to drinking a bottle I've been pumping for his lunchtime feeding and then giving him a bottle. I hope to slowly add in formula so he is at least tolerant of the taste. Just in case we ever have to leave him with someone and I do not have any stored milk. I was doing a good job storing up breast milk, but then my pump broke :( I went through my stash. Thankfully, my friend Missy let me borrow hers.

Leo still wakes up around midnight and 5 to eat. He usually wakes up for the day around 8:00 or 8:30 and takes a two hour nap in the morning and another 1 1/2 nap or so in the afternoon. He LOVES to sleep on his tummy! As soon as I put him in his crib he instantly rolls over to his tummy. He even sometimes sleeps with his arms tucked under his stomach as well. It is so cute!

Happy 6 months Leo!! We are so lucky to have you in our family and enjoy watching your grow and change each day. Love you!!
