Summer Days

Well, the weather is finally starting to cool off a bit- so wonderful! We've been enjoying our time outside at the park and in the pool. We've also gone on a few more road trips since the last post. Busy days :)

Max has started to swim on his own with a life jacket. It is much easier to be in the pool now that he is confident and can play with his water toys.

We've really enjoyed swimming at Karan and Ken's pool and pond. Can't wait to go back again tomorrow.

Leo is still not big enough to get in the pool with Mommy (well I'm still kind of scared to bring him in!) so he hung out outside while we swam.
Last weekend the boys and I went to Ohio to visit with my family. During this visit we were able to spend time with a lot of relatives I haven't seen in forever! Friday we got to see my Uncle Terry, Aunt Shannon, and the boys. Max had fun playing cars with Shannon. While we were there he was super goofy. He asked Shannon to "Smell my feet!" and found a "dust bunny" under their couch when they were looking for a car. Lol- he is crazy. The rest of us had a good night laughing and sharing stories.

On Sunday morning, Max, Leo and I went to breakfast at my grandma's condo. Yum!! Delicious as usual. We had a fantastic morning talking and laughing. Max loves Oma's hair. He kept putting his face in it and styling it, hehe.  That afternoon my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Craig arrived in town from Maryland. We all met at my Great Aunt Carol's house and got to see her kids from Alaska and St. Louis. Max was very quick to jump into their kiddie pool in the backyard--definitely have to keep a close eye on that one! It was great spending time with everyone.

Cheryl and Craig stayed with us at my parents house so we were able to catch up that night and Monday morning/afternoon. We decided to pack up and go to the Toledo Zoo for the day. My cousins Gary and Johnny came as well as my brother Zach. It was a beautiful day! We were even able to see the new baby elephant, Lucas. Max had fun riding on the carousel with Aunt Cheryl. He was a very serious rider this time.

Look at all of the animal!

We kept trying to get Max to crack a smile while he was riding, but he was determined to focus on holding on.

There were GIANT sunflowers in the African Safari exhibit. Very pretty.

Max couldn't wait to see the crocodiles.

Baby Lucas.

I'm loving every minute of summer time! I'm so lucky that I can still enjoy it for another month without going back to work! Lucky me!!!
