ID's Please...

Shortly after arriving at the San Antonio Airport we were able to meet my sister! It was so nice to see her and Johanna again. Johanna looked so grown up- quite a bit thinner. I think she is losing her baby weight and looking more like a little girl. These days go by way too fast!

After saying our hellos we went over to get the vehicles. Uncle John met us there to take us to Randolph Air Force Base which was in Universal City, Texas. My Aunt Martha is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force so she was able to get us, the Beavers, and the Shoots condos at the base. Everything was beautiful! It was just strange having to show our identification cards, passes, etc. whenever we needed to get back onto the base. Jeff even had to take a picture of his pass because they only gave one to our entire extended family. We were so worried they wouldn't let him on after our fiasco the first night. Also, in the morning they played Reveille and at night they would play Taps, so like my sister said, we felt like we were at camp. Jets flew overhead as well throughout our stay. The kids seemed to like it though!

The condo was great for the 7 of us. We had a nice living room, kitchen, dining room, and three bedrooms. There were also two full baths and one half bath- very helpful with all of us getting ready in the morning. The nicest thing was the cost! Only $51 a night. Extremely great bargain when you are staying somewhere for almost a week. Thank you Mom and Dad for everything!!

There were also three bedrooms upstairs with pack 'n plays for Johanna and Leo. So nice!

Leo loved all of the attention. He was held or talked to almost the entire time. I think he misses it!

Since we were unable to celebrate Johanna's first birthday with her in Colorado I brought a present for her to open in front of all of us. She sure does love her Minnie Mouse!

We didn't stay in the condo for very long, but it was great while we were there. Besides the mouse.....lol. Here are some pictures of Leo's bath in the sink- perfect fit- and of the last nap he had. He was conked out!

Leo had never taken a bath in a sink before today. It was an adorable fit for him.
